Trunking Cutters

Bought them neet job bloke who worked for me stole them along with a makita sds drill/chaser set of rods transformer.

Yes they do a neat job. Council work now demands all surface trunking so you would definately need them if you did any of that.

Cheers Paul,

Its for a big job installing av systems in schools, as much as I hate using trunking, might as well do it right.

Tool theives are the worst sort, I had one of my fluke network meters stolen recently by a kid i think, found it smashed up not far from the site on the way home.

Makes you want to show that bloke what the trunking cutters do to fingers!

Off topic but I bought a hilti te56atc recently after reading some of your comments. Can honestly say its the best sds drill i've ever used.

I have that very same set of cutters.

They are fine for PVC mini trunking upto 16x25mm (YT2)

You may find the blade goes a little dull after a while which can squash the trunking a bit when you are cutting it. I sharpen mine in as if it were a knife blade.

Make sure you you do up the bolt which holds the anvil in place nice and tight, as they have a habit of falling out. If this does happen, I've found an imperial conduit box screw fits just nicely (2BA thread)
