It seems ELECSA (through being owned by the ECA) are to start offering TrustMark acreditation for £30 pretty soon.

Any ELECSA members planning to take them up on the offer? Indeed NICEIC members, as they have been offering it for some time. I'm considering it, so any comments on the scheme in general would be appreciated.

I took this up as part of NAPIT membership. After 2 years of paying I have seen no benefit whatsoever. No customers have asked for it or know about it.
Nobody every contacted me as a result of looking for an electrician on the TrustMark website.
I had to notify NAPIT all jobs over (I think) £75 even if they were not (Part P) notifiable.

In all, IMHO, a waste of money like most government initiatives. Many other NAPIT members have had the same experience.

Taylortwo is right on this. i am also NAPIT, was offered and reccomended trustmark, but due to funds decided not to bother.

Exactly the same experience as you t2c. Will not bother until people ask
