I fitted my CH just over 20 years ago, and used no name TRVs.
These have a plastic nut/innards (the bit you see when you take the TRV head off) and the plastic is crazed and cracking.

So I thought about replacing them with a valve that is brass not plastic, but notice that some of the leading brand valves have plastic innards.

So, should I opt for brass, or are modern plastic bits OK for a long life.

Any recommendations on what make model to use? I only need the valves, not the heads.
