I need to change my radiator valves to TRV's. What ones are good qualitiy without costing the earth as I have 12 off. I 've used B&Q ones for my son but I've noticed they can make a noise.

Thanks in advance

you get what you pay for and i wouldnt use B+Q for TRV's unless its danfoss, honeywell or drayton they sell.

I use Danfoss RAS-C for replacements and Siemens trade TRV's on new installations.

siemens or Grahams Altechnic. Grahams are about £7 for TRV and lockshield.

pegler terrier valves are good value for money imo. Have used them many times, also available for a good price at screwfix which is obviously handy for the DIYer.

have you used the altechnic range of TMVs was very impressed with the quality for there price.usually on installs i go for the mistrals made by yokshire, due to the fact they have an O ring on the tails rather than ptfe them.other than that drayton.

Bulldogs(pegler) from plumcentre cost about a tenner and includes lockshields.
Fitted thousands only ever had a problem with 2 valves after being in 6 years

eco-cal by altecnic £7.50 for TRV and LS @plumb centre.
