no, it says to take the ferry to the little island, then a few steps further down tells you to swim the pacific ocean ( after transversing the island )..

Well, I was told to jet-ski from a Northern State in the US of A until I 'entered Japan'.

I'm quite happy with that. I don't fancy kayaking to be honest.
