Hello

Had a new boiler installed recently and the Tundish has been put in a place which is not entirely convenient and I'd like to move it somewhere more visible. I know they are to be minimum 500mm from the pressure relief device.

Fitters have been superb and I'm sure they'd come back if I asked, but it looks like an easy job and I could save them the trouble.

So am I "allowed" to move the tundish 300mm up the wall from its current position or so I need to be G3 to do that? It would be 500mm clear, still.

Thanks

Boiler or unvented? If it's the latter then I guess technically it is part of the safety systems but moving it shouldn't interfere with the safe working of any of the devices if positioned correctly, so ...... if they will move though then that may be better ... but if not .... ;)

Oh and BTW, D1 shouldn't be more than 600mm from the tundish and made of metal, not a min of 500mm!

Thanks all. I'll consider options.

Good spot on the 600mm too, which may prevent what i wanted to do, but i'll measure up. Must get to spec savers. Reluctant to call boiler guys back as they've been superb and honestly its whimsical stuff like this would grind my gears if i was in their shoes, they've done a good job, been paid, no faults etc. I would prefer only contact them again if there is a fault or if i've extra work needs doing. I could offer to pay for the tun move of course, but they'd probably do it for free then i'd feel bad. Funny old world.
