Turfing Vs Shingle

Good evening

I know we cant discuss prices and what not on here but can someone advise me on a rough figure for having a 40ft x 18ft oblong garden turfed or shingled? The garden has minimal plantation which would need to be cleared also, its currently a dry mud surface.

What should one expect to be quoted for either shingle or turf?

As I say this is just to help out and give an idea!!!

its not so much as cant as no point, since what i may have to pay, you may not, all to do with location, and what is actualy involved, hence

This is because it depends on several factors:
Your location, Access to job, material costs, labour rate etc, any prices mentioned should not be relied upon / maybe old prices
Please get several quotes
There is no such thing as an "average" house (since your requirments will be different)

if it helps i have 6 tonne of gravel in my garden, think i need a bit more though
