When either one is voted in as Tory leader they won't have a national mandate to run the country and Labour will persist with calls for a GE throughout the next Parliamentary session; as energy prices rise, food and fuel costs escalate the Tories will find it increasingly difficult to sustain a government, and an election next year will be very difficult to avoid.
Truss is hopeless in debate and Sunak is already tainted by his own side with being wealthy and out-of-touch with 'red wall' voters, making it much easier to win back seats in the north.
