I have a Sony Bravia TV, a few years old, with built-in freeview. As well as a coaxial socket, it also has a SCART socket and 2 HDMI sockets.

If possible, I'd like to connect it via my wifi, so I can watch stuff from eg BBC iPlayer.
Does anybody know if kit is available than can do this? Probably a box near the TV and connected via an HDMI cable.

Grateful for any help

Amazon firestick or fire TV. Install a free Kodi Build on the firestick and you’ll get movies, sport, tv shows etc.

Yep. You’ll get all your catchup programmes and YouTube etc on it as it is but once installed, look on YouTube on how to install kodi on it and then look how to install a kodi 'build' on it. There’s loads on there, all free and take 5-10 minutes max to install. I currently use 'Red Wizard'.

That's great. I'll come back to you when I get stuck :)

I don't think you will get any decent films on Kodi any more. I don't on mine as all the channels seem to have been blocked, unless I'm not using it properly.:(

What build are you using? I change builds if it starts getting stale. Just look on Google to find what’s running best at the moment. I use mine mostly for watching F1 and live premiership football. You can still search in the library for many films. For newish films I tend to use Showbox on my Android phone for films and mirror that on my smart TV. You can cast to the firestick too though.
