tv wont come on , clicking

Hi , tonight my son turned on his HITACHI 42PD9700U plasma tv
it wont come on , there is a clicking noise coming from inside sounds quite high up inside ,anyone know what the problem could be .

There is a fault. Something has broken down causing the power supply to constantly trip.
Time to call in a TV service engineer.
