I am going to build a couple of brick piers to a height of 2 metres either side of my driveway and a sliding gate guide is going to be hung on one side.
I don't know much about bricks and am unsure how much I should look to pay (hoping to lay the bricks myself). There is place down the road to me selling "red bricks" (quite happy with the colour) for £250 for 1,000 which seems pretty good - I reckon I'll need about 350.
Question is, are these likely to be poor quality/not suitable for exterior use. I realise I could give them a bell and ask but don't want to be conned into buying something that looks rubbish 6 months down the line. How much do you reckon I should pay?
