My mother has just had her bathroom re-tiled. With this, she has had a shower head moved from by the taps to the standard height (just above head height). Since she has had this done, the bath is leaking down the the wall where the tiler has re-tiled.
She has called the tiler back who has said he does not know how this is happening as he as put a lot of silicone on. Today he has said that it is because the bath has been layed for use as a bath only and not as a shower, and so he says this is the reason for the leak.
I am just wondering if this is true as it sounds odd to me that a bath can be set up for use as a bath only, and if you then use it as a shower, you are guaranteed a leak.
Any information would be useful to get back to him with.
Cheers
