Does anyone else occasionally keep losing sound on UKTV Gold/UKTV Gold +1.This usually happens later at night and I have to change channels and back again to get sound back.Any solutions if so?

I,m on Sky John.Signal strength about 2/3, signal quality about 3/4.Just wondered if it was just prone to ukgold or some other mystery

Is it an amstrad digibox?

My used to do this on quite a regular basis.

No problems since I got sky+ (its ace)

Yeah RF it is an Amstrad Sky digibox (one of the originals I think) about 7 years old.I think I'll live with it until I need to replace/upgrade

Mine was 7-8 years old, and had probably been doing it for a year or so before we upgraded. Not sure if it is just a problem with that box or something else.

Try ringing SKY and threaten to cancel, they will offer you some new hardware i.e. new box and remote for free with no extension to subscription etc..

I've just done this and the menus and channel hopping are much faster.

Beats my old Sony Box.
