UK Map for off line use

I did have Microsoft Mappoint 2007 on my old laptop running xp. I dont have the disk now, but I dont think it works on Win7.
Does anyone know of a FREE map that will open OFF LINE.
I just want to do off line what you can do with an old paper map, ie look for the place.

Woodyou...Have you used this programe?.
Downloaded from your link, couldnt extract it. Went directly to their site.

Downloaded latest version, then get a message saying there is an update, that then has errors.
If I go on the old version, it only maps n.america.
Just wondered if you just found it for meeeeeeeeeeee..or you use it.

Sorry, just did a google on off line maps and this one came up. Haven't tried it myself.
