I have recently moved in to a new house. We have a dressing room and en suite above the garage. These rooms are cold so as a starting point we wanted to check the insulation above the rooms.
The house is designed so the garage and rooms above are only just attached to the body of the house - imagine one square for the main body of the house with another square just overlapping one corner of the first square. When we went to the loft we are unable to access the loft above the dressing room and en suite as the walls forming the main body of the house block the way in. Is this legal? If so what is the reason - as there is no loft hatch in the ensuite or dressing room how would we get to power/water etc that I presume are within that loft?
any comments most welcome
