My Glowworm Swiftflow 80 has got me stumped !!! Got an engineer coming out in a few days, and just want some sort of idea what could be wrong so I know roughly what I should paying.

The fan runs fine, fast for about 1 minute when switched on, then slows to normal speed.
Decent water pressure (1 bar).
I can see the ignitor sparking and if I hold the gas control in i can hear and smell the gas coming out, but with all the cover back on it still doesn't light the pilot. Tried at least 50 clicks !!

I thought it might the thermocouple, but reasning on here that just controls the pilot when it's lit.

I'm thinking slightly blocked jet, or something to do with the main gas valve.

Any ideas ?

Just the outside white cover, it had a leaky air valve that was swapped. Everything including pilot was turned off to do this, and it no longer lights.

Try lighting pilot with power turned off, its worked for me a few times.
