Under cabinet led strip.wire

Good afternoon,

I'm wiring up some led tape under my kitchen cabinets and was wondering what type of wire was ok to use from the transformer to the led tape.

I used 4mm2 figure 8 wire. You could use smaller CSA stuff, but I was being conservative. (small c)

Braided 1mm you need to solder it on don't you?
