I wonder if someone could help me please.

I am planning to install a Worcester 37CDI boiler to provide hot water & heat for upstairs radiators. Seriously considering wet underfloor heating for open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area. Removing all downstairs joists & floorboards, filling void, insulating then screeding over pipes. Fitting engineered wood on top. Area is about 60 sq M.

Does anyone know if this boiler can supply heat to the underfloor heating but remain off for the upstairs rads? Anyone had disappointment with heating under wood?

Thanks,

Peter

Yes, you need two separate zones of heating control. The ground floor zone will have a low temperature mixing manifold.

Wood and UFH are OK and will work; however a solid floor works a bit better.

Engineered wood is less likely to warp and shrink, but nothing is guaranteed.
