The DIY shows are full of people installing their under floor heating but they don't ever seem to explain which type to go for. Anyone had any experience of them? It would help a lot with our layout as we plan to have quite a bit of cold flooring and with a long narrow room don't want our wall space taken up with radiators. We are on gas central heating at the moment, as far as I see it one major decision is whether to go for electric or wet systems.

Cheers!

Forget about underfloor heating, it is best installed in new houses when you have the floorbaords up, or have not yet concreted the floors.

It will be labour to install it in a concrete floor (as the pipes need to be buried in concrete), and it will be labour to lift all the floorbards to install underneath them (unless you take the ceilings down to install from below  )
