under mount sink

Unsure if its right placed to ask, if not Mod please move to right place.

Getting solid surface work top installed and part of the installation is under mount sink. Unsure what would be best option to get the sink installed/supported, assuming that the weight of the sink is supported from the underside?

The few I've seen have been supported by a timber frame/shelf - which is how I was planning on doing ours in the next house.

Yeah most have a shorter cupboard underneath, the top of which supports the sink.
