Hi All,
I have 72M2 of underfloor heating (electric) to fit. I have seen some loose cable advertised and it would be perfect if I could use it as it will save a lot of money. I've looked on the manufacturers website and 20mm screed is recommended. This will raise the floor too much.
The plan is to use undertile insulation boards 6mm then the wire then screed over (to just cover the wire which is 5mm) then tile adhesive and tiles on top. The tiles are porcelain.
Will just screeding over the wire then laying adhesive and tiles be sufficient or will there be hotspots / cracking of the screed?
Thanks
