Underfloor Camera

Hi

I had an issue with water under my floor very long story, but I want to but a camera under the floor hatch in the under stairs cupboard, so I can check for any water, just not convinced on the fix.

Will mean I dont have to keep checking under the floor by lifting the boards and emptying the cupboard.

Any recommendations for this, something cheap and cheerful?

Wifi cameras are not expensive now. They work best if you are able to provide some light, so light and power supply via one cable.

You used to be able to buy "leak detectors" that were buzzers and batteries in a small door stop sized case.
The base was open, and stuffed with very dry sponge. Any water would rapidly soak into the sponge and short the circuit so that the buzzer would sound.

I was thinking more fixing one to the joist something like below, rather than an inspection. Something that is usb into a plug can plug it into socket under stair cupboard and can bring it up on my phone to check it every so often

Amazon do leak/ flood detector that sound a sounder if water detectored.

Thanks had a look at amazon few options there, I think camera might be better, maybe even both
