I am sure there are hundreds Klima 825502 Intelligent Control Digital Underfloor Heating Thermostat is one example. Main point is they have two sensors not one.

You will note this one
ae235
comes with the under floor sensor. Rated NTC Sensor 14.2kΩ @ 20°C if your existing sensor is OK you may get away without changing it.

It is a very small picture but it looks like the Honeywell 6060 and I did not think that was a under floor heating controller.

Clearly with underfloor heating one you want room at right temperature and two be able to walk on the floor without burning yourself. When it is laid there should be a pocket which takes the floor sensor. With the one I fitted it jammed and could not be removed.

There are come chemical heating cables which are self regulating but yours looks old so I would not expect to find it is that type.

Aah true, but (you will agree) that the two photos - including the marks/reflections on the wall above the old stat are exactly the same.

Maybe someone "borrowed" the picture…………

But that all still doesn't change my advice to both/either of them re the stat replacement.

Yes, they are clearly the same photo - although paul's, uploaded to his album today, is much smaller. Like you, I presumed that he had 'borrowed' it, but borrowed the thumbnail, rather than the full-sized pic.

Indeed. If one wants to be cynical/suspicious, I suppose they could be the same person (albeit with different claimed locations), but I don't really see what the point would be (unless, perhaps, he'd forgotten the password for his initial incarnation!) - and, if that were the case, it could be argued that it would be particularly unwise for him to have drawn attention to the issue, by the "new him" posting in the "old him's" thread (with the same photo)!

Kind Regards, John

yes I did borrow the picture only as I did not have one of my own.

The thermostats are in my daughters flat so I have no picture of them, all I know is they are satchwell with no other markings and not working. Also I only registered to this site today thinking its members could be a help.
Regards

I did not mean to be sarcastic.
It was strange that two people came onto the site today with amlomst exactly the same question with EXACTLY the same picture.

This does happen quite a lot round here where someone asks a question, doesn't get the answer he/she wants and after 20 minutes puts in another question (sometimes under a different name). So I assumed the worst when i saw two almost the same.

Apologies.

On the other topic //www.diynot.com/forums/electrics/underfloor-heating-controls.401237/ I posted two solutions to your question. One Satchwell stat and an alternative. Have a look.

That would have been extremely strange, but it's not actually what happened. Parmaslam has only ever posted once in this forum, and that was back in April, when (s)he got just one response (from you). ... Seven months on, paul obviously found that post, borrowed the picture and posted a request for follow-up information in that old thread (thereby bringing that old thread "to the top of today's list"), and also started his new one (with the borrowed pic).

Kind Regards, John

Thank you both for the reply, I do not even know the model of this Satchwell thermostat only what it looked like when I was last at my daughters so when I saw the picture I borrowed it sorry for causing confusion. Anyway getting back to the problem I have looked at both web sites suggested and as there is a TLC very near to where I live I will get the Sunvic TLM2253. She has only just moved into this flat which has underfloor heating and has 6 of these thermostats, they all look very tired and could all do with replacing its her bedroom stat that's not working so I will change that one first. These thermosats seem to be the only control of the heating not even a time clock.
Thank You for all your help

Once you get inside (and/or get access to the back) of one of them, I would imagine that it will hopefully tell you what model it is (and maybe some other useful things). Make sure you make a careful note (and/or take photos) of 'what is connected to what' before you disconnect it!
