Hi I am wanting to insulate my suspended wood floors. Taking floorboards up at the moment is not an option.

I have room underneath to do this so was going to use wool insulation and either netting or breathable membrane to hold it in place.

My concern is a few videos I have seen want you to install a dpm between the insulation and floorboards to reduce moisture build up.

Is this correct as would have to take floorboards up then or is it overkill for a 1930 semi?

Thanks

You don't need a dpm in a suspended floor, netting and glass wool will suffice.
Make sure your sub floor vents are clear to keep the void moisture free.

Fitting a DPM as described will create moisture build up and problems.
