ok, quick poll..

how many of you wouldn't mind / would like to live underground?

just saw an episode of Bones and there were homeless people living in the tunnels and such under the city..

I don't think it would bother me much..

I never open the curtains in my bedroom or lounge since they face south and the sunlight makes watching tv etc a problem..

We are earth dwellers and have evolved watching the Sun rise and set.

If you were to be denied this privilege then you will automatically miss it. Your senses will crave sunlight, so much so that in some cases, deprivation may lead to depression or even suicide.

Unless you have been through prolonged sunlight deprivation then there is no way of knowing how you will react.

Otherwise, so long as living underground provides food and water then you will survive. Children of underground dwellers will not know any different.
