Hi, I'm sure this has been asked a million times - I have had a scan though. So apologies in advance.
I'm laying solid oak boards on top of a chip board floor. I've bought the silver lined foam underlay with vapour barrier (see homebase link below), but I have a nagging doubt that I've bought the wrong stuff for putting on top of chip board.
Should I have bought the fibre board stuff instead? Can the vapour barrier cause problems with the chip board? Unfortunately the blurb on the product doesn't mention anything about where it is/isn't suitable.
Thanks in advance for your help. Rather double check now, than have a lot of £ worth of wood go skew-if later.
