hi all. have a project at the moment installing a bathroom in the single room, detached rear annexe of a house.
at the rear of this annexe is a disused chimney breast, which has been removed down to the ceiling level of the bathroom. kitchen in room below.
i am looking to remove this breast down to bathroom floor level but im concerned that the wall to one side is single skin, and if i remove the breast will i need to 1. add structural stability to the wall 2. create a cavity, either with brick off a lintel, which would assist 1, or dry line etc. the annexe is 2.6metres wide, with the chimney in the middle.
has anyone had a similar situation which could be some assistance to me please?
