I've got an unvented system providing DHW and CH from an oil fired Grant boiler. The cold mains feed comes into the cylinder in the loft on 15mm copper to a regulating valve and then the cylinder.
I understand that the cold and hot supplies to showers etc need to be balanced to prevent overpressurisation but there isn't a supply taken from the regulated side of the reg valve so the cold side of my showers and taps will be at mains pressure which could be different from the regulated DHW pressure. The manual for the cylinder states (in bold) that unregulated supplies to showers *will* cause failures.
Can I fit a 3 bar regulating valve after the stop valve on the mains incoming supply so that all cold supplies in the house are 3 bar max or will I have to run a separate regulated supply to each shower?
