hi - my father-in-law is having a problem with his daughters house, all the houses Ive ever lived in have had 2 separate lighting circuits.... an upstairs and downstairs.. with 2 separate fuses/circuit breakers.
recently a light bulb went in a room downstairs, the light bulb was changed but then no lights in the house worked - on looked at the fuse box there seemed to be only one breaker for "lights" and this had tripped - un-tripping it gave back lighting for the upstairs only and downstairs is still not working? can there be another circuit breaker/fuse further on in the system or is this totally inconcevable?
thanks JON
