Hello,
Please can you advise the appropriate lubrication for UPVC windows / door locks and their mechanisms?
Internet advice is contradictory and I want to do it right. Hopefully this site will be able to give me a professional view:

Locks:
Ultion cylinder locks (I have 2 of these): Ultion advise using Lution XM https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lution-XM-Lock-Lubricant-/183993444800 I am happy to use this but have read Kasp 30050 is the same product at half the price https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ck-K3005...189482&hash=item1ab0ee006b:g:yF4AAOSwUqhgBdT4
Should I stick with the Ultion recommendation?

Yale Platinum 3* cyinder locks (I have 2 of these): Yale web info suggests using a PTFE lubricant. I called today and asked if I could use the graphite like the Ultion lock. They advised using GT85 or WD40. The reference to WD40 means I lost confidence in them.
Would the Ultion graphite lubricant be ok for the Yale locks? Alternatively would 3 in one with PTFE be ok, or should I go to the GT85?

I have also read I can use a silicon spray for the locks. Is that ok or should I use one of the above?

Windows and Doors:
Window espagnolette; door shootbolts, cams lock latches, mechanism etc: Is the 3 in one oil with PTFE ok for these parts, or would a silicon spray / something else be better?

Window and Door hinges: Is the silicon spray ok for these? 1 hinge started to make a noise and it was previously cured by using this.

Thank you for your advice,
Pete

This for the lock cylinders, hinges and other metal/metal parts: https://www.toolstation.com/action-can-rp-90-penetrating-oil/p36877
This for other parts such as rollers on sliding doors, handles with plastic parts, etc. : https://www.toolstation.com/action-can-sp-90-silicone-lubricant/p34151

Have used those or equivalents for decades on all kinds of locks. Number of times they jammed, failed or had any problems - zero.

Only used the overpriced graphite filth once on some vehicle door locks - one of them jammed solid a week later and had to be replaced at significant expense.

Thank you flameport. I appreciate the advice.
I thought I had replied yesterday but I obviously didn't upload it properly.

Your advice about the graphite is unexpected. I had not read of a problem with it for locks when doing my initial research. Also Ultion sent me a mail this week saying I need to use it to maintain their warranty. A bit unsure about that now....

For the others there was conflicting advice re using silicon spray at all, either that it is wonderful and suitable for everything or it will attract dirt and may therefore cause downstream problems.

Thanks again,
