Upvc Door Gap

Hi all,

I've fitted a upvc door and down the sides there is a 10mm gap, can 10mm be filled with frame sealant after foaming ok or is it a bit big and I'd be better fitting trim strips to the sides?

Only my opinion, but I would go with some trim pieces - far neater!
