I want to fit vertical blinds in front of a patio door but the door handles protrude 68mm and will interfere with the blinds. Anyone know of a door handle with a lower profile please as most sites give every measurement other than how far out they protrude.
Before you buy your blinds just to say I've never met anyone yet that didn't regret buying vertical blinds for french doors, I'm assuming you mean french doors and not patio doors as a sliding patio door wouldn't open if it had a blind screwed it. Blinds on french doors just flap around in the wind, flap around when opening and closing, cords getting trapped between the door and frame, they've all took them down eventually
for opening doors your much better going for a blind that slides within a track like these.....
We have perfect fit on the kitchen door. The idea of verticals is so we can tilt them so as to keep the sun from bleaching the furniture whilst still allowing light in the room.
The track from the blinds would have protruded about 5 mm from the lintel. I've managed to find some handles that are literally 5mm less than the existing ones so it's sorted thanks.
Can we confirm here patio doors (sliding) or French doors (hinged)?
If French doors perfect fit do a Venetian tilting blinds too, Look here at the slatted blinds not the fabric ones https://www.blinds-2go.co.uk/brands.htm?q=perfect&is_v=1
It wouldn't be suitable for sliding doors though as the frame protrude 10-15mm from the door
