An elderly neighbour has developed dementia and although he remembers to lock the entry door he forgets to take the key out which means the carers cannot gain access using the key kept in a keysafe outside. Is it possible to get a lock that will lock and unlock from the outside with the key still inserted on the inside. I've tried a google search to no avail and read the thread below about thumblocks being a bit risky and I'm not sure if they would be appropriate for someone with that condition who struggle with change.
