I've been looking into replacing my front door but as a cheaper option i've been thinking about just replacing the panel to give the door a new fresh look.

I always thought the beading was on the inside for security reasons but i appears my beading is on the outside with a rubber gasket on the inside.

My question is, how safe is this door? to get the panel out do you just remove the beading as you would when fitted to the inside? Doesnt seam very safe to me.

Thanks in advance for you advise.

The idea is to pull the gasket out before you remove the bead, most early pvc was externally glazed, some profiles were easy to get the beading off with the gasket still in some were tougher

Is it relitivley straight forward to remove and replace or would i be best getting a professional in?

Ideally I need it out twice, once to measure up and then fit the new panel
