There now is a gap on the outside of the door and the inside of the door betwen the uPVC frame and the window.

Not sure how to tackle this and if it can be resolved easily. I would say the gap between the frame and the window on the outside is maybe 4mm in places and about 2mm on the inside.

I think he means the glass in the press glazed infill panel Crank..in which case I would just fill with some clear silicone, as it would mean that the ' infill panel ' is probably delaminating ...in an ideal world you should replace the infill panel ( For those that don't know...the infill panel is the bit thats actually holding the glass, if you look there is beading all round the doors sash holding a ' panel ' in ...could also be used to hold a full length double glazed Unit )

I did wonder afterwards whether the OP meant glass not window, I was looking for a window. But yes as you suggest it sounds like the panel has delaminated which is very common especially on south facing elevations although white is better as it reflects heat better than say woodgrains or grey, the solution as you say is either fill it with clear silicone or a new panel
