Is it possible to "trim" a uPVC door as you would a wooden one with a plane? If so, how would I go about doing this? I need to remove approx 5mm.

The floor is not level and so the bottom of the door is rubbing against the carpet floor (soon to be tiled) so I think I need to trim the bottom off it. Any thoughts?

since the thickness of the upvc will only be about 4mm if your lucky I wouldn't try it.
However, look at the hinges. See if there is a little plastic cap on them either on the side or top. You should be able to lift the door up about 5mm via the hinges. They usually have a screw adjustment.
