Hi

I’m looking to get the steps on 2 x double patio doors and 1 x single back door.

The steps on the south facing doors are badly peeling. The rest of the foil is fine on the doors.

Does anyone know of either any tradesman or anywhere I could buy foil to repair these steps? Many thanks

Given the potential for continuing damage, I would cover it with a kickplate cill protector - although seemingly only available in gold at the moment...

Most foils ( in fact I think all ) are from Renolit. The biggest piece you will get for yourself is an A4 sample. Renolit do offer trialling courses in how to do it but only in Germany.
What you are seeing is actually a lot more common than you would think. A lot of woodgrain profile that has sat in direct sunlight for 20-25 years is beginning to peel as you seeing. It's a mixture of the glue failing and the constant movement of the pvc in warmer weather ( you can hear it creaking ... woodgrain frames are notorious for movement ) . I am unaware of any company that actually does the repair , last person I asked ( Crank39, who does a lot of warranty work for the warranty companies) said under warranties they just replace the whole window.. Randomgrinch has linked to a product there , not sure if that one covers the entire cill , or just the bottom of the door frame ... I've never seen a complete cover in silver or gold for an entire cill , as you'd need to know the depth of your cill ( looks like 150mm cill to me but there used to be 95, 125, 150, 180 , 225 and 250 cills ). Eurocell certainly do a woodgrain cover for a cill , not sure whether it would do the job as it'll be profile specific to eurocell windows, but might be close enough https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...EQFnoECBQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1UWp81tsQTXvJsY72w_jty
