small bathroom window is getting jammed shut eventually got it open and inspected.
Found the bottom locking pin isn’t raising on the unlock turn.
Yale lock working fine
Centre pins movement is fine
Just seems to be the runner that engages the bottom pin not grabbing enough to pull it up.
So my question is….
A) is there a quick simple fix or
B) what’s the part called that needs to be replaced is it a whole locking mechanism?

If the top half is working but the bottom not then it's almost certainly the centre gearbox that's failed which is very common, what you have is a 3 piece mechanism, centre gearbox which is like a steering rack on a car and 2 shoot bolt extensions top and bottom.

Dead easy repair and cheap.

Remove handle, remove all screws from the lower mechanism, the 2 on the gearbox and just one on the upper mechanism. On the gearbox slide the 2 clips up, one goes up and one goes down, unclip the bottom mechanism from the gearbox. Now unclip the gearbox from the upper mechanism.

Inspect gearbox now and you'll probably now see how it's failed, pulling on the toothed cups your probably see that one half isn't turning the square drive when you pull it

Rebuilding is the reverse of that
