I have some WHS halo windows where the outside of the frame has a profile for fixing cleats or frame extenders to. So the outside of the frame looks like:
My question is say I want to fit expanding foam tape (Compriband TP600 or similar) around the perimeter of the window frame instead of using silicone sealant. Where should I stick the expanding foam tape to the frame?
I was thinking of doctoring some frame extenders (see below) so I could clip them into/on the side of the frame which would give me a flat edge to stick the foam tape to. But is there a better way of fitting tape to similar frames?
