As is normal with UPVC windows ours have the two position handle, where 90degrees allows it to open at the top, and 180 degrees opens at the side like a door.
On the bathroom window however, if you open the handle to the 90degree position, the top and side modes are simultaneously available resulting in the thing flopping around wildly. If you close it and engage 180 degree position, it works as expected in "door" mode.
I've had a look around the frame, and on the bottom left corner theres a sliding T shaped catch that moves with the handle, however, there is no receptacle for it on the frame, just what looks like some mangled plastic and marks around where it should be.
Does anyone know what this missing part is and if i can order a replacement? Unfortunately, the bathroom window appears to be a different make to the rest of the UPVC units in the house, so i cant even compare with those to see what i need.
Cheers
Kev
