Hi All @ DIYNOT.

I've got a pram that needs fixing, however I have no idea what sort of tool I need to tighten/Loosen this fixing.

I have attached a photo for you to look at.

Assuming that's not a rivet, it'll be a grub screw. For which you'd require an allen key.

I've tried with an Allen Key, However, It's not doing anything.
If it's a 'Rivet' How Do I Tighten/Loosen that?

Sorry - I Really have NO Clue about DIY and Tools... Hence why I'm here. LOL

Can you post a better picture, mate?
Can't really see if its a screw in there, or a rod that needs to poke through and be retained.

Look likes its a rivet. To tighten, the back is opened out to secure it. To remove, probably drill out.

Depending on what you want to do, you might be able to drill it out and replace with a small bolt....

Please see new updated photos ABOVE!

Okay, there are a hell of a lot of them!
I Just need to tighten them all up, Or is it something which I Can only use once, and Not able to tighten?

Thanks!

Rivets can't be tightened after they're installed. You have to drill them out and fit a new one.

Buy,beg, borrow or steal, a punch(a large centre punch should do it) With the job supported on a vice or other solid piece, place the punch in the dimple and hit with a hammer. that should tighten them.

You need a hammer, a small ball pein would be ideal, but not essential.

You also need another hammer, or a reasonably heavy lump.

Place the block on one side, and tap the other side. Dont get too carried away, once theyre tight you cant loosen them off easily.

Note to self: Remember to distinguish between solid/semi-tubular rivets and blind rivets. Don't mind me, listen to the sensible people.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
I WILL EACH THANK-YOU IN A SECOND.

I'VE NOT DONE IT YET, BUT I WILL IN A SECOND.

As I'm a truly sad man, I'd drill the rivet head off and lose the complete rivet. I'd replace it with a 5 or 6mm screw, with a nyloc nut - which won't undo but allow me to tighten it as need be.
Time for the anorak
John :)

that probably wont work john,as this is a pram there is limited space for when the frame is folded it wont close properly.

Same here. It's not worth the bother of riveting, that's only good at the manufacturing stage. Replace the rivet with a bolt and nyloc nut.
