Think i may have found the holy grail lol...ive just tiled half my kitchen ( so far ) using Lafarge dot'n dab bonder instead of adhesive....its stickier then adhesive goes off in 3 hours and best of all costs £8 for 25kg...
Anyway the tiles are set solid , theres no movement and im already walking on them so anyone who has a big tiling job bear this in mind ..it could save you a few quid...
Please no one scare me with any horror stories...eeeeek

oh no! at least you could have used decent mud like knauf!! seriously, you do need to use a cement based product, as, due to the abundance of moisture on a kitchen floor, it will insure cohesive longevity. in 12 months time the tiles will have started to lift.

bonding compound.......for floor tiling..........is this a late april fool?

Lol...i might get hit by a bus tomorrow...anyway we screed the floor and put a DPM down so i thought i'd gamble...will be interesting to see tho in time...Better break out that Unibond in the shed now !!
