There are several sellers repeat and multiple posting these used Boss towers, even stating 'that ones sold but I've got another coming tomorrow' sort of thing.
Where would these be coming from.. a regular supply sounds dodgy.
Possibly damaged stolen obviously. But if 'like new' even more suspicious.
Hints?

Why the concern , as long as you purchase in person and don’t send money .

Aluminium is fragile. Used ones would likely to be damaged. If they have steel parts on them, those would have rusted.

'Why the concern' Because I am unlikely to be able to assemble it at the sellers site to ensure everything is present and correct.
If they are so much cheaper than new yet sold 'as new' then my suspicions are raised, especially as they seem to be shifting them regularly and not as a single tradesman or DIYer simply disposing of unwanted tools.

So yes - if anyone has experienced buying from one of these 'traders' posing as a single sale item.

Even if someone did have experience, they cannot guarantee you will get the same experience.

Why not buy new, or a cheaper more flimsy brand? It will pay for itself on the first job you do with it. Once you have it, you will do a lot more than one job with it.

I do have a 40+year old Galvanised rectangular tower - it's very heavy but a workhorse. I try to buy quality and know those flimsy towers will wobble. I'm like others who are also thinking about some real scaffolding just to get to awkward places a tower wont do.. Like over the shed, to the gutters over a lean too.. etc.
No tower alone is going to resolve that for me anyway.

I'd make do with what you have already. There is no need to rush things. If it's heavier, work slower. Alum tower is wobbly and easier to damage and doesn't offer that much advantage. Although, one man assembly is doable.
