I'm not sure if anyone here has previously discovered this but i've stumbled onto the fact that you can use google as a calculator or conversion tool etc simply type in your calculation say 123.456*5/4 and hit enter for your answer or type 155 KM in MPH or whatever.
I'm impressed what a handy tool whilst online!

I've also found google scholar an excellent resource for specific articles relating to my assignments - these would take ages to find at the University library or on the internet generally

If you're using Windoze, as most of us are, then there's a calculator in Programs -> Accessories, and it's even more handy than Google, and you don't have to be online to use it.

It doesn't do conversions though - for that I agree, Google is v.useful.
