Would it be OK to use homebase masonry paint to touch up paint on metal drying green clothes poles which have already been painted with proper exterior paint but I ran out of, and I have just noticed bits I have missed?
It is not really wise, but I have seen many clothes line poles done this way just to tidy them up and they last well. On the other hand, I have seen even more that have gone rusty.
I certainly wouldn't recommend the masonry paint but if you want to give it a try you might be one of the lucky ones. It depends what kind of metal yours is, I suppose.
In the long run it would probably be more economic to buy another tin of paint and do it properly.
