Using sand in blasting gun?

Would it be ok to use normal building sand in a gritblasting gun? Only a cheap £10 Lidl gun. Got no grit to hand but have some dry soft sand.

building sand is a bit to fine but will work, make sure you put a mask on as the dust can cause health problems

and you need at least 120 psi

Got an old 2hp 25ltr comp, not sure if it'll make 120psi but I can but try.
Only doing small rust areas, have P3 filter mask, gogs, and will be working outside.
