Using Tile Adhesive as Grout?

Is there a good reason not to use tile adhesive as grout? I've just put up a single tile behind a small wash basin, and it seems a waste to have to buy a bag of grout when I could use a bit of the tile adhesive?

I'd give it a go for one tile, if you're tiling a room BAL is your best bet..
