using white matt paint as a gloss undercoat???

i caught my decorator using white matt wall paint as a pre gloss undercoat! apparently he got taught to do this at college!!!

he was glossing doorframes and sanded down bannisters

i take it this isnt the correct method!?!?

This is what they do on new houses - and it always peels. We'd all do it if worked. Sack him - he's a cowboy.

Could'nt agree more, if as you say say this chap was taught this method in College I would like to know which one. He comes across as a chancer who has been caught out. SACK HIM.
