Had the second jab booked in for July, received a text from NHS saying call 119 and book it earlier. Wife phoned to get it earlier, and was told she would have to cancel our July jabs before re booking, but if there were no earlier slots, we will lose our place and end up having to wait longer. Why send the text in the first place if their is no guarantee ?

The central website is a bit of a shambles. It works but it isn't good. Try your GP.

Such is life in borisconi's britain...

Of course you could take the sensible approach and wait until the jabs are proven to be safe...

I've had two jabs.

Does that mean I have two pairs of balls?

I do wonder if the urging to bring forward 2nd doses owes more to a government desire to trumpet the number whove had both doses than it does the science of an interval between #1 & #2 being beneficial.

Of course he could take the sensible approach and ignore the anti-vax loonies.

Thats run by contractor -deloitte I believe.

The other track is managed by GPs and is far quicker and flexible.

Because I hadn't seen my GP for ages, the practice moved and they had an ancient mobile number and couldn't get in touch (so they reckoned). They sent me a letter, I rang them and they said they still had my home phone number, why they didn't try that, I don't know, but it wouldn't have made any differences, as they had stopped giving the jab by then. Still, I haven't died from covid or the jab, I'd have taken my chances with covid, but SWMBO wants a holiday.

When a single dose was highly protective then spacing them out made sense. Now we've got the Delta and Delta plus which need both to be effective the calculation has changed. I don't know if there has been any reliable studies done on the pros and cons of 2 weeks Vs 12 weeks or anywhere Inbetween, but I'd heard the difference was fairly small.

Also we're well into the rollout and getting a second dose into an old person's arm is much more important than a first dose into an 18 year olds arm.

I'm not an anti vaxxer, but answer me this...

Should anything happen to you or yours due to the vaccine(s) untested short/medium/long term effects would you expect recompense?

I wouldn’t. I made my choice of my own free will. Public duty and if it goes wrong, I’ve played my part to protect future generations along with the cowards like you. It’s not always about yourself you know.

You do realise you sound more ignorant with every post you make about the 'virus', don't you?

'I’ve played my part to protect future generations' FFS...

You've decided to destroy the chances of the future generations (n)

You're the coward because you can't question whatever you've been told to believe in...
