Vailant boiler thermostat/timer

I have a Vailant boiler (has a pop off front to fit a thermostat/timer) that has a wired thermostat in the hall and a timer in the hall cupboard. The power supply is also in the hall cupboard.

I want to fit a VAILLANT VRT350F WIRELESS PROGRAMMABLE ROOM THERMOSTAT. The unit itself seems to be plug and play but what do I do with/to the current set up?

Additional info:

There is a junction box in the hall cupboard with the wires to the thermostat, control and power supply. I presume I chase these back to there and remove.

The Vailant control plugs into the front of the boiler.
